The systemic link and everything related, the oral cavity and just the general knowledge and research about diseases that can effect the oral health of our patients.

These links are to remind not only you but to remind your patients how important dental care is as well as their regular medical examinations. Do you ever ask with your medical history update when their last check-up was? A few of my patients don't even remember the last time! It's a good reminder and a great way to introduce how important oral hygiene is in their lives.
Remember, it's your job to educate and keep up with regular research - you can't always change a person but there will always be room for growth and development. It's amazing what happens when a patient actually trusts you and your advice! Remember to always to document, that's your best bet!
